As an agent, I can understand why some feel the need to sell their home on their own, maybe upside down on a house and they feel the pressure to sell.

Buyers buying a For Sale By Owner,

  • Why do it when you aren't paying in most cases for your realtor

  • buyers don't know how to get out of a contract on their own and have no one guiding them

  • The seller isn't held to the same ethics of a realtor

  • they don't give you the same disclosures as a realtor

  • they usually are selling a house without knowledge of the market

  • most buyers who buy a for sale by owner ends up over paying and cant sell down the line
